Our Story

About Nomada Arts

We're on a mission to make beautiful resin art accessible to everyone, everywhere in New Zealand.

How It Began

The Story Behind the Name

For us, Nomada is about whānau — and that starts with the name itself.

When Donna was thinking about what to call our mother-daughter venture, she wanted the name to have meaning. She took the first two letters of the names of three very special people in her life — her dad Noel, her mum Mary, and her step-mum Dawn, and brought them together to create NOMADA.

What began as a name became a little piece of our whānau woven into everything we do.

Family has always been at the heart of our creative journey, and it felt only right that it should be at the heart of Nomada too.

Why Nomada?

At the heart of Nomada Arts is connection.

Connection between creativity and confidence. Between people and new experiences. And most importantly, between whānau.

We are both incredibly whānau-oriented, and that naturally flows into the way we teach and create. Our classes aren't just about making something beautiful to take home — they're about slowing down, having a laugh, trying something new and creating memories together.

Whether you're an experienced artist or someone who insists "I'm just not creative!", we want Nomada to be a place where you can come as you are, have a go and discover what you're capable of.

Nomada Arts is our shared creative journey — rooted in whānau, fueled by creativity, and made to be shared.
